After Several Years as tour guides  in the Arizona Desert, guides Mark, and Liz a native Minnesotan have brought their advanced skills  to the North Woods of Minnesota. Mark has always been an adventurer and has toured in Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, Wyoming, Oregon, etc. Basically any trail west of the Rocky Mountains he's done.

Liz, a native Minnesotan, successful business woman, sail maker and rigger has been adventuring in the BWCAW, National Forest's and Park's her whole life. 

One day while adventuring, a guest (Liz) climbed into Mark's H1 Hummer for an extreme tour in the Sonora desert.

Thirty days later they were married. Liz's only stipulation to the marriage was that Mark take her back to Ely, Minnesota each year.  Mark (always the adventurer) simply wanted to marry his soul mate and did just that. Not having the faintest clue where Ely was.

Liz while in Arizona has taken up Driving H1 Hummers and is presently the Only Female Hummer Tour Guide in The United States. She'll tell you it's the Whole World...maybe?

On their first trip to Ely, Mark asked Liz to go on a guided tour of the area. Come to find out Ely had no such thing and neither did anyone in the whole state of Minnesota. That's how "North Woods Adventures" began.
